We’re proud to present you a 100% natural bamboo leaf tea that’s been harvested directly from nature. This offering has been made possible through our cooperation with the Jiang family that lives just next to the bamboo forest in Anji. Because of their small scale production, they can’t afford to pay for organic certification, but their standard of production is far beyond the Western organic standard.

How Bamboo Leaf Tea Is Made

The bamboo leaves are picked when they’re still young, resulting in a fresh and non bitter taste. Right after picking, the leaves are cleaned and naturally dried in the sun. Absolutely no artificial flavours, colouring or preservatives are added during the process.

Because Teasenz sources its tea direct from the origin, we pack the bamboo leaves in our aluminium pouches to seal in the freshness. While traditional supply chains needs at least 6 months before the tea are offered in retail, Teasenz can ship out the tea right after the harvest. Less time to you, simply means fresher tea!

Bamboo Leaf Tea Benefits

As we mentioned above, the secret ingredient in bamboo leaf is silica. This compound is responsible for the strength and flexibility of bamboo. According to research, regular silica intake improve skin elasticity, tooth health, muscle tissue, heart health, nails and hair growth.

How to Make Bamboo Leaf Tea & Recipes

Bamboo leaf tea is easy to prepare as you’ll only need a mug or teapot and boiled water. About 3 grams of leaves would be suitable to steep one mug. For a teapot you’ll probably need about 5 gram depending on its size.

After boiling the water, let it cool down for a minute for a sweet infusion. A steeping time of about 3 minutes is suitable. Whenever the infusion turns light yellow-greenish, it’s ready to drink. The best way to observe is to steep the tea in transparent glassware.
