Description

Chen Xiang Ni & Dragon Kiln Fired

This exceptional clay originates from a rare batch of ore discovered in the Jiang Po Ni symbiotic mineral deposits. Master ceramist Li Changhong named it ‘Chen Xiang Ni’ (Agarwood Clay) due to its unusually lustrous and oily texture, reminiscent of the precious agarwood (Chen Xiang Mu).

Square Xu Bian Flat Design

The Xu Bian (flat) teapot is the flattest of all the purple clay teapots. As the saying goes: ‘The flatter the shape, the greater the difficulty in making it.’ This makes the production process extremely challenging and requires exquisite craftsmanship.

This Xu Bian teapot has smooth square angles to symbolise stability. Its flattened body makes it easy to handle and adds to the aesthetic appeal. The compact design ensures even heat distribution, and the wide opening allows for easy placement of tea leaves and cleaning.

Bamboo Element

The teapot’s surface features hand-carved calligraphy and bamboo paintings. The spout, handle, and knob are sculpted into realistic bamboo stalks, representing resilience and elegance in Chinese culture.
