Description
This exquisite zisha teapot is handcrafted by certified Yixing artist Ye Pan. It’s made from a premium type of Duan Ni clay, known as Qing Duan, and features the classic Duan Ni colour with a serene greenish hue. The teapot boasts a solid structure with a granular surface, yet it feels as smooth as jade to the touch. It’s shipped inside a gift box and include a certificate of authenticity of the artist.
The teapot is engraved with pine tree branches on one side and the Chinese characters ‘逸趣’ meaning ‘leisure/fun’ or ‘having a good time’.
What we find particularly impressive are the small little details that makes this teapot a true master piece. The upright spout offers powerful pouring speed, while the classic 9-hole filter in the spout prevents tea leaves from clogging. The somewhat thickened teapot lid feels solid and adds stability. At last, the beautiful ear shaped handle offers a comfortable grip.
