Description

This Qing Duan Ni Yixing teapot is handcrafted by certified Yixing artist Li Xiaolu. It features a classic rounded body and a distinctive lid knob inspired by Taihu stones. The teapot is shipped in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity of the artist.
Qing Duan Ni, or green duan ni clay, is prized for its subtle greenish-grey tone, sandy texture, and excellent air permeability. After firing, the clay develops a calm, natural appearance that feels understated yet refined. With regular use, the teapot will gradually develop a beautiful patina, especially when it is rinsed with tea during tea sessions, allowing its surface to become richer and more lustrous over time.
The most eye-catching detail of this teapot is the lid knob, shaped to resemble a Taihu stone. Found around Taihu Lake in Jiangsu province, these naturally weathered limestones are known for their smooth contours, hollow openings, and flowing, sculptural form. This turns the knob into an artistic focal point and a true conversation piece.
The round shape is not only visually balanced, but also practical, giving tea leaves enough space to expand fully during brewing. With a capacity of 175ml, this teapot is well suited for gong fu tea sessions, whether you’re brewing for yourself or sharing tea with a friend. The teapot spout features a ball shaped filter.
