Bai Mu Dan: Origin

This white tea is without doubt one of the most popular white teas from China. Yet, the origin of its name is unclear. Some say it’s due to the beautiful contrast of the steeped small leaves (which turn green) and tea buds (which stay white in colour), resembling a peony flower. Other relate the name to the flowery aroma of this white tea.
