Glazing teaware, including tea cups, is a fine art that originates from the Song Dynasty. Later Japanese monks who visited China brought them back to Japan, where it also became widely popular and referred to as ‘tenmoku’ (heaven’s eye’).



This glazed tea cup is flawless and hand made with obsessive attention to detail and fired in a kiln made as according to Song Dynasty specifications.
