More than just a premium pu erh tea, it embodies the profound culture of the Chinese zodiac and the legendary spirit of the “Great Sage Equal to Heaven,” Sun Wukong (the Monkey King).
Upholding Dayi’s signature “Menghai Flavor,” it’s crafted from premium Yunnan large-leaf sun-dried green tea raw material using Dayi’s unique “pile-fermentation” technique. The cake is pressed to optimal density, showcasing clear, intact leaves and visible golden tips.
Produced in 2016 as a ripe Pu’er, years of natural aging have mellowed its character. The liquor brews to a radiant, ruby-red clarity. The taste is rich, smooth, and sweet, with a full-bodied, woody flavor. Comfortable on the palate with a pleasant, lingering sweetness (huigan) and mouthwatering effect.
